I’ve got no incentive to buy the run of the mill Tonka toys anymore…they’re made of plastic for the most part now so why not buy one that’s made in America, like this one? At two, it’s just a toy dumptruck to put the stuffies or trinkets in but as the kids get older, we can tell them how they’re made of milk cartons that people recycled. Wheels roll nicely on carpet but aren’t at all sticky so not as well on hard surfaces, but with a kid crawling behind them it’s just fine. Nice details on the cab and wheels, sturdy construction…the plastic is VERY thick and the colors are really nice. So, if you recycle at home, put a little of your money on the other end and buy Green Toys’ high-quality fruits of that effort! We have the recycling truck, the kitchen set, and the beach toy set also and like them all, too.

We love all of the Green Toys trucks! The bebe is 10-months-old, and loves things with wheels (nope, these won’t roll on the hardwood floor but they roll really well on the carpet, and I’ve been reading some other reviewers’ comments about the wheels spinning better over time). He loves bright colors too. And he loves putting things in the back (blocks, socks, little people), and then dumping them out. So much fun! I, of course, love that these close the recycling loop by utilizing recycled plastic to make really cool, really sturdy toys. And made in the U.S.! I’m planning on making more of these into gifts for other little kids we know. I want to add, too, that the packaging on these is my favorite toy packaging OF ALL TIME. As a kid at Christmas, I always just wanted to play with the toy, already! Instead, there were tape seals to cut through, numerous wires to untwist, plastic tabs to unclasp. ARRRGH! But with these trucks, you just pull open the cardboard flap and roll the truck out of the box. Then you put the box in the recycling bin. It’s like magic.
I bought this for my one year old with the tugboats for the bath. Both have held up wonderfully. We have had no issues with the wheels.
This is a duralbe, well-made truck. The environmental benefits are great, but even if that’s not your cup of tea, this is a great toy on its own. It’s nice and big, durable, soft but attractive colors.
I bought this for my 6 month old for Christmas. He abosolutely loved it! We let him play with it for at least 20 minutes on Christmas morning. The truck is sturdy and durable. You can place blocks in the back and dump them out. My son was able to turn the wheels. The size of it is just right for him. My dad felt it had an old time look to it and was rather neat. I love the fact that it is made from Recycled milk jugs, seems like it will last forever, and that it was made in the U.S.A.
My son is 16 month’s old and he plays with this truck all the time. It’s the perfect size for his small hands.
My son loves this truck. I love that its made in the USA and of recycled plastic. Looks like it will last him for the years to come. He enjoys pushing it around. When he gets older I sure he will be using it for all kinds of dirt and rock hauling.
