This was the #1 game my son played on his Leapster learning system. “Was” being the right term. He got a little freaked out by the “ANIMAL ALERT- ANIMAL-ALERT” warning missile launch (those who have the game will understand). And now won’t play the game. Funny though that he loved the animal alert but it’s sudden and unexpected and must have come on when he was feeling a bit sensitive. He’ll eventually play with it again, and like a lost then found toy, it’ll be new again. Beside all that this game combines learning about animals and their habitats into a fun game that helps kids learn about animals. The scratch away animal is also a lot of fun, my son loves to fill the screen on the Mr. Pencil game and this gives it a bit of an educational “kick”. Overall definitely a must have game for the Leapster Learning System.

My son got this game for Christmas and was initially frustrated with it. He’s 4 1/2 and was having trouble navigating through it. He’s now completely in love with the game. He plays it a lot and repeats the facts that the game gives him. I would highly recommend this to a precocious 4 1/2 year old but it’s probably better for a 5 year old as the game recommends.

My son loves his Leapster and all the games we’ve bought for it, but he really loves learning things that Mom doesn’t know and then informing me of “Did you know” about all the animals on this game. I’m glad I bought it.

My boys are just turning 3 and almost 5, and they both love this game. Actually, they fight over it, which can be frustrating for Mommy, so they are also learning all about Taking Turns! They have both learned so much from this game, and they take what they have learned and incorporate it into their other playing. They will play with their Little People animals and say things like, “Zebras live in the Grassland – watch out for Lions! Lions eat Zebras!” That sounds harsh, but don’t worry, no actual eating of Zebras going on in the game. The game does talk a lot about “predators”, and the boys are learning a lot about what a predator is, and how nature works. We build upon what they learn in the game by reading more science-oriented books that teach kids about animals. I will say that the Maze Munch game can be a bit difficult at the higher levels. Sometimes, I can barely escape the Grouper in the Clownfish maze munch! Might be that our arrow botton on the Leapster is a little touchy. It can be hard to get away from that grouper to hide in the sea anemone! The boys get frustrated by it, and want help from me. But maybe it’s good to show them that I can’t do it either! I would say this is their favorite Leapster game, and it has been for awhile. They also enjoy Kindergarten, Letters on the Loose, and Numbers on the Run.

Santa brought this for my (soon to be) 6-year old, and she loves it! It is by far her favorite game. It is educational, fun, and does not fall into a repetitive rut that would make the game boring. There are goals set to “win” animals, and quizzes on the animal once you have enough points. This game is set to reward correct answers & doesn’t make a big deal if an incorrect answer is selected. Just try again! We love this game & would recommend it for any child under the age of 8.

My son ADORES this toy! He wants to take it with him everywhere, and while the magnifier can come off, he can easily replace it himself. The lights are very bright, but it honestly just enhances the fun. I am so glad we bought this toy!

My grandson was so excited to get these for Christmas. He loved them and played with them alot….great fun for an adventurous young man!

Had a kids even of over a 100 kids and they loved this. They always wanted to be using it and for the adult staff to use it. It’s true what other reviewers have said the blue light is bright if your looking into it. But otherwise works great and totally fun, even if your not a kid.

My boys are 6 and 12 and they each got a pair for xmas. They play with and without the lights and have a great time. they did put duct tape over the nose arch b/c they said that was a bit uncomfortable, but otherwise adjusts well to each of their heads. the lights are super bright, one on each side. has a flip out magnifier that my 6yo can’t quite figure out yet, but my 12 yo says he can see far with it. all in all, they are having lots of fun with them and are more durable than I expected.

I bought the night goggles as a gift. According to the mother of this child, the little boy loves the goggles. He turns off all the lights in the house and walks around trying to find things.

I originally purchased a pair of goggles for a Halloween spy costume. I figured if nothing else the lights would be helpful at night. I could never imagine how much my daughter and the neighborhood kids would love playing with these. And they really work. I tried them on and you can really see a lot. I have now purchased a set for several kids as birthday and Christmas presents. They are well made and hold up to being dropped on hard floors or being fought over. I definitely recommend them!

Our kids love it. It is just a bit heavy for the smaller kids faces. But they still fight over it.

Fun seekers beware…these are fabulous. Shut the lights out and play hide and seek, check out your fish tank at night, and the amazing night walks especially when you get lucky and see a night critter! Parents beware when the kiddo’s check you out with these – VERY BRIGHT but what a delight! Also, super price point will definitely give as birthday gifts and do not forget the triple AAA’s.

I am 8 years old. I got 2 pair of these for Christmas. I love them. They really work. My best friend and I play with them outside with our marshmallow guns. We play secret spy and save the world. The head straps are pretty comfortable. You can see really far. I told my mom these are one of the best presents ever.

I bought eight of these for my grandkids. They had a wonderful time playing outside in the dark on Christmas eve. They are reasonably priced. As much fun as the kids are having with them I would definately buy again.

I bought one of these for my son (8 years old) for Christmas in 2010. He LOVED it (and still does). We bought another for my 7-year-old daughter for her recent birthday because she liked it so much. It is nice that the light saber splits into two so you can share with a friend/sibling. Friends and cousins love to play with them when they visit. (My 10 month old gets a kick out of swinging it around too because of the lights and noises.) The sound effects are awesome. My children don’t really use the spinner too much, I think mostly because they prefer to actually hit the swords together rather than just swing them around.

My grandson is a Star Wars hero with two light sabers. Not sure if he ever uses the center ring. It gives him far too much reach for indoor use.

This is really well made, with lots of extras we didn’t expect. It makes electronic sounds when removing the lightsabers from the base and when you’re spinning the lightsabers. Very cool product!

7 year old loved it. Was actually much better than expected w/lights & sounds. Seems to be relatively sturdy.

This toy is just amazing. I got it yesterday and I put it together right away. It makes you feel like Darth Maul when you swing it. I say use both blades without the Gyro for fighting. My 9 year old brother is just a little shorter than the lightsaber so watch out. I have 4 lightsabers but none have sound so this is my favorite out of all of them. I was really surprised when you untwist the lightsabers it makes a sound. Right now I am watching Phantom Menace so I can learn some moves for the double blade. I recommened this for anyone who loves Star Wars.

After beating our heads against a wall to figure out what to buy for our six year old who only wanted DS games and hot wheel cars for Christmas I purchased this despite my husband’s plea not to. We have two other light sabers, but I knew he’d love this one and get a thrill that once again Santa would know just what he wanted. Given our other experiences with light sabers I didn’t expect much from this toy. I was shocked when we put it together with batteries! It actually lights up in a way that you can SEE in the daylight. The sounds are extra fun- he has spent several hours pretending to be a “real” jedi (he doesn’t know the difference between light sabers). He can manipulate it independently once we showed him how. My favorite part- you detach the two sides and get two light sabers. My three year old wants to do everything her brother does, so when he pulls it apart and gives her one so they can “battle” there are lots of squeals of delight! This thing looks even better in the dark, which the kids found out one night. It gives off enough light that my three year old, who claims to be afraid of the dark, was happy to play with her brother with the lights out. If you are on the fence- GO FOR IT!

I very highly recommend this game! My daughter is turning 4 in a few days, and she just got it yesterday as a present. She already loves it! She is learning so much about dinosaurs! I would recommend this game to parents of either a boy or a girl. It is perfect for kids 4 and up. She asked me for help one time the first time she played it, but she has been able to do everything by herself since then. I love watching her play this game, it is one of my personal favorites!

Purchased this cartridge for my very active 5 year old son for Christmas. Unfortunately, I can’t speak for the educational content because I have not played the games. I can tell you however, that he loves playing this cartridge. He loves dinosaurs and this game keeps drawing him back. I think he especially likes the fact that as he earns points from each game on the cartridge he then gets to “break” rocks to uncover the dinosaur bones. Eventually, he uncovers enough bones to put together the complete dinosaur. It’s mostly just pure fun and would probably hold most boys his age interest.

I bought the game for my 5 year old grandson for Christmas and he plays it everyday. This game was on the top of his list of favorite gifts!

If you have a little boy or girl who can pronounce quetzalcoatlus better than you, then this would be a great addition to his/her Leapster 2 library of games. My son gives it two thumbs up.

My 5 year old son got this for his birthday last year and will still play it for hours. He amazes me at how well he can pronounce the dinosaur names and how much he knows about all of the dinosaurs from playing this game. I highly recommend this for any dinosaur lover.

This is a wonderful game for your budding paleontologist. You learn about different dinosuars eating habbits, match up pieces of a skeleton or a portion of a picture with a picture of the full scale dinosaur, run through mazes, and protect your nest from predators. Once you read 100 points from the aforementioned games you get to dig for fossils. When a skeleton is complete the game plays a video that give you the facts about the dinosaur and an animation of what things may have been like. My 5 yr old son played this game for 2 hours non-stop when we were stuck in a traffic jam and still loves to play it. His 19 month old sister always watches over his shoulder as he play and she can now tell you words like omnivore and herbavor and properly acts out with her toys what the words mean. I think this was a wonderful investment.

My son really loves playing this game. Great investment! He thinks he is playing, but he is learning.

My son is 3 1/2 and is very much into Dinosaurs. He loves this game and is quite good at it! I am very impressed at how quickly he has learned to play it. I will admit – I enjoy playing it to!

My son loves this game. He loves dinosaurs and he could play forever. Even after 2 months, he still loves it.

I have a v-smile console and lots of cartridges, and purchased this AC adapter about a year ago as a way to cut down on batteries (although the batteries did seem to last a decent amount of time) and have had no problems with the adapter at all. As another review said, this adapter is also made to work with the V-Smile Pocket. Also check out the V.Smile Pocket Car Charger which is made for use with the Pocket — I recently purchased it to use in the car with the console that my sons use with our SUV’s DVD entertainment system, and it works perfectly with the console unit as well.

This is a must have if you get a vtech laptop. My child uses the laptop and we don’t have to worry about it running down with the adapter.

This adapter is really worth the money. My child plays her VSmile so much that she would have already blown through double the money in batteries since Christmas. I can only imagine the money this adapter is going to save me seeing as the VSmile has educational games for my child geared toward her next five years.

It really stinks that the V-Smile does not come with the AC adaptor but with Amazon you can be sure to get it fast. If you have a V-Smile and a child (Grandchild in our case) that loves it and is REALLY learning then you need the AC adaptor fast and Amazon will deliver! Thank You for maintaining such responsible service. Donna Jo

This product is a money-saver if your children are like mine. They love their V-smile, and play it constantly. Sometimes they forget to turn it off. This product will save you tons of money.

I was dismayed that the Vtech smile didn’t come with an ac adapter. They need to get every last dollar they can. This product does what it’s supposed to do, hook the v tech smile to electricity.

I’ve no real problem with the product, it’s where you can find it that bothered me. The only place I found was at Toys R Us. None of the “BIG” stores even new what I was talking about. I got the same respose from 4 of the biggest retailers. “No sir, we don’t carry that, you either have to order it or use a universal adapter.” If on the users manual it says they recommend we use The V-tech adapter, would it be a better merchandising move to have them at other stores besides ToysRUs? I would like a response if this product is available somewhere else.

This is a must have if you own a V Smile. The game itself eats up batteries very quickly. Its great that you can go either way, but haveing a plug in adapter really cuts down the cost.

Great product, but it’s a crock that I had to purchase it separately from the V-smile system. It should have been included!

If this adaptor is out of stock, or if you don’t want to pay $10-$12, here are the specs that will let you find a generic or universal adaptor that will work: This adaptor is 9 volts, 300 mAh, with a 5.5mm x 2.5mm adaptor with positive polarity (the center pole is positive). If you shop around, you should be able to find a universal adaptor for as little as $7, or generic adaptors for under $5.

My 10-year-old granddaughter LOVED this birthday present. She is a huge Harry Potter fan and this game extensively covers all 7 books and most of the movies. The minute she opened this gift, she started playing the 20 Questions game and played with it for hours. She also loved the Golden Snitch that came with the game. I would highly recommend this game for any Harry Potter fan Radica Harry Potter 20 Questions Electronic Game . I was also very happy with the shipping time. I received the game only 2 days after I ordered it on-line.

I’ve been looking around at stores for this game for a couple of years now, so when I found it online, I was so excited. The game arrived a day before it was expected to be delivered, and it came in excellent condition. Well worth the nine dollars! The game is quite entertaining and it works. The 20Q software is extremely intelligent. A must have for Harry Potter fans!

My 11-year-old daughter is a huge Potter fan, and this provided much entertainment for her and her friends. The more trivia you know about the books, the more impressive this is. Remarkable program enables it to guess really obscure things.

This is a really fun toy when you’re just hanging around somewhere (or waiting in line). It really does a great job at guessing and you can even try an online version for free if you Google Harry Potter 20 questions.

The Harry Potter 20 Q game is lots of fun, although I do have trouble thinking of things to trick it with. Well worth the money.

I saw the commericals for this toy on tv a lot. But I had no desire to have it. Well, my mom gave it to me for Christmas. I love it. I’ve been playing it for the past two days. The instructions say that the machine will always guess what you are thinking in 20-25 questions. I’ve only beaten it three times. When I think I am picking something hard it still guesses it. It’s very cool. I don’t like that inbetween questions, it sometimes comes up with witty things to say. But I love this game. I’m glad my mom got it for me!

This is a great little toy to have when you are bored. It is smart and almost always beats me. If you love Harry Potter and like 20 questions then this is the game for you.

If you love Harry Potter, this games is for you. It is so fun. It i a challenge thinking of things the computer would not know. The price was cheap and shipped fast.

I had been wanting this item since I first heard about and I’m a diehard harry potter fan so this product is awesome I although I wasnt expecting the wings to be removable but it makes scense that the are for portability

This game is so much fun and the bigger the group you have, the funnier it will be. It is super easy to use and I haven’t had any problems with it. I got it for my brother in law, he opened it up and we started playing right away. I haven’t met anyone who hasn’t enjoyed this game.

This is the funnest game that I have ever played! Everyone is involved. no one gets knocked out, It is a blast! Everyone is laughing, I love it!

Young or old, this is a great game for a get together. We’ve had so much fun playing it that we made sure we had one at everyone’s house (family) so it would be available to play. And yes, you can even learn from it.

Now that we’re too old to spend an entire night at the bar or club trying to meet new people we tend to have more small parties at people’s houses and Catch Phrase is always something we end up playing. The game itself is a piece of cake to learn – basically you push the one big button and the only rule is don’t say that word or anything that rhymes with it. It sounds easy but some of the words are tough and when drinking is involved it adds a new level of complexity. There are a few categories but we always just leave it on “everything”. We’ve had some words repeat a few times, but really for the amount of time that we’ve played it we’re still getting new words and if some repeats come up you just skip them. If you want to integrate this into a drinking game you have two options. (1) Divide into teams and then whichever team wins the point, the other team takes a drink. (2) Play every man for himself and if the round ends with you holding the catch phrase then you have to drink. Both options are fun but we really like option 1 playing men versus women.

When our family plays games, this will be the one we’ll choose. Everyone really enjoyed trying to outsmart each other. We had lots of laughs and lots of groans. We recommend it.

Catchphrase is like scrabble, pictionary and charades all put into one. Describe a word or phrase to your friends without saying the word or phrase. How could something this simple be so much fun! Played for the first time last night. Just put this on my wishlist. You’re missing out if you haven’t played this..

This is a great game for quick thinking on teams. Some people would consider it a flaw that one of the unchangeable aspects of this game is that it often gets handed off when the timer is just about finished and there is no way that the receiving team has a chance to answer the target query. But that works out in the wash generally.

Such a fun game! Even for the families that don’t play games that often ) only downfall i’ve noticed so far is how quickly you can exhaust a topic. after just playing a couple times my family and i have gone through all the options under the entertainment category (

I bought this for my ten year old grandson. He was very pleased to get it, but has yet to put it together.

I bought this for my 9 year old son. I have to admit that this kit is not easy enough for a 9 year old to build on his own, but it’s easy enough for kids of that age to play with once built. Instructions were great but the screw list was a little hard to follow. It’s easy to use the wrong screws in the wrong areas. The arm can lift up to a D cell battery. Anything over that weight and the grip is not strong enough to hold it. Even though it’s small and weak it’s still great fun. It has a wide range of motion and looks freakin cool. As an adult I can honestly say this toy is worth the money and would even recommend this toy to schools interested in educating kids in robotics. The kit is designed to protect the gears from stripping by allowing two parts to slip and make a clicking sound whenever it is pushed beyond it’s capabilities. My son has learned a lot from this toy. He saw how it’s built, what the parts do and how it all came together. Best of all he takes the darn thing everywhere he goes and shows it off to anyone he can show it to. He proudly says, “look what daddy and I built”. I’m very happy with this purchase and plan on buying another if this one breaks.

I had a lot of fun assembling this robot. Even though several mistakes were made like using the wrong screw more than once or putting the wrong parts together, don’t ask, the manual was good at letting me check and recover. Took a while to recognize what X and O meant. I was really surprised and happy when this thing worked perfectly at first power up. I had an Armdroid robot arm, cost $600+, for over 20 years that finally stopped working. I kept an old PC just to run it. Had to throw it out so the Edge is a consulation. Well worth $35 or so which is the price of an HO freight car. This machine lets the user learn the primary lesson of robotics that it is not easy to control a robot intended to mimic the human body.

My 6 mo. old Boarder Collie built this in about 8-9 hours. Supervision all throughout is required as parts need to be cleaned from excess plastic, and tightened properly. Some parts will need to be positioned precisely (like the clamp module). The quality of the plastic is quite good. It is similar to plastic model toys. While building, test the motors with a pair of wires to a battery if they can turn the gears properly before closing them in their housing. One electric motor failed to even work out of the box, so to make it work, I had to open it up and reposition the rotor and clean the contacts. My puppy now has some exposure of how those gears work to move something. She got to use a screwdriver, cutter, pliers, a digital multimeter in this exercise. I think she is no longer afraid of wires, since she stopped barking about halfway through. she now wants a fire hydrant robot. She also now want something that allows the arm to be mobile rather than be in a fixed base (I am thinking Revell Vexplorer). She plays with it by getting pencils from a case. Great weekend activity, quite educational, even for a 24 yr old. Very good value for the money.

My 21 month old son has always been great at going to bed by around 7-7:30 every evening, but he recently started waking at 5:15-5:45 anxious to get up and afraid he was missing something. I had “saved this item for later” in my Amazon cart and finally one morning after waking at 5:15 with a crabby baby, decided to order this clock. THE VERY FIRST NIGHT we tried it–it worked amazing. We use it for naps and bedtime at home. My son talks to his clock and takes such pride in knowing he can wake on his own when the light turns from blue to yellow. He no longer has anxiety wondering if or when it is time to get up and we have a much better rested baby. I would strongly recommend this product to you–ORDER IT!

The clock worked like a charm! Our 2 yr old daughter was sleeping through the night within days. We suffered from early riser syndrome. She would wake up at 4 am ready to go, would cry and refuse to return to sleep. This clock fixed all that and now she has a way to know when its time to wake up. We turned the nighttime blue glow down low so its no problem. The whole family is sleeping better!

I find this a first class outfit, caring, dependable and quick to respond. I would not hesitate to deal with them.

I have 4 kids and little time to write reviews, but this clock is so amazing – I just have to let my gratitude be known to the world. In a nutshell: My 3 year old (now 4) began to wake earlier – 7:30, 7, 6:30 (bad!), 6 (horrible!), 5:30 (OMG!), time for the new clock. It took her about 2 days to catch onto it and she now stays in bed until the clock face turns yellow at 7:30. About once/month she gets up early claiming that her clock must be broken. The first time this happened I allowed her to stay awake but assured her that the clock was in good working order. The following day she again claimed to have broken clock. So now my policy is to send the kid back to bed whenever this happens….even if I know the clock is 5 minutes from turning yellow. I just logged onto amazon to purchase the same clock for my 2.5 year old who is now beginning to wake early. I sometime get up early to get the things done and get a little caffeine flowing before my kids awake. So I find it very frustrating to have my quiet time interrupted by a tired toddler who should really sleep another 2 hours.

Before this clock, our 4 year old was coming into our room at 5:30 am. Now she comes in our room at 8:30 am. What a difference! She also loves listening to the stories on the clock. The Company is also great to deal with. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this clock!

We got into bed and my son could not have been happier to see that clock in his room he was beside himself. I explained to him that while the light was blue he had to stay in his bed and not come to mommy and daddy’s bed but when the light turned yellow he was welcome to come to our room. He was OK with that because he felt secure with the night light. He told me “I love it!” Lo and behold, this morning the clock woke him up to music and he was very happy and told me that he loved his new clock! He was actually walking around with it! Now he’s asking me how to tell time. Thank you to the ingenious creator of this clock. I only wish it could have been invented 11 years ago when I had my first child. For $50, it is a steal just to get a good night’s sleep! I am definitely going to try it for time-outs. Buy this clock, you won’t regret it! It’s like having four clocks in one and it’s built for children. He’ll be able to use it when he starts Kindergarten too and starts reading and needs to be timed. We LOVE it!

I bought this for my 5 1/2 year old grandson. It was the only thing he played with on Christmas day. I wasn’t sure if he would be too young to figure it out when I ordered it, but he had no problem. I am glad I purchased it.

THE SPY NET: SPY STRIKE LASER DUELING SYS. IS GREAT. BOUGHT 4 SETS FOR MY GRANDSONS 9TH B DAY PARTY AND 8 KIDS AGE 9 TO 12 PLAYED OVER AN HOUR IN 2 TEAMS {IN THE PARK} WITH ON BROKEN TOYS OR BRUSED KIDS AND THEY ONLY STOPPED BECAUSE TIME WAS CALLED TO OPEN GIFTS. 4 PARENTS ASKED WHERE I GOY THEM. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT TOY. GWEN

Bought this for two of my four children for Christmas. Before wrapping, had to try it out. It was so much fun and worked so well, I just bought two more sets. Now each of the kids, my husband, and I will all have one. This is going to be a great family game. Laser tag in our backyard. Much more inexpensive then going to the one in town and we can play it any time, day or night. Looking forward to some fun times with the kids and hubby.

They loved it. I loved it! This went over very big. My biggest concern is that they always put the shoulder set on the same arm they will be shooting with, or they might stretch the cord. Also good that target practice for one person play can be done. Good job.

We bought four sets and played at my daughters party the kids had a blast and the guns worked great. Since then we have played as a family and the kids have used them for night games.

This is SO much fun! Its not like your laser tag that you play in a darkend room, but go outside, run and get some excersise! My step daughter loves this and so do my husband and I! We played with this for a few hours. Worth buying for your child.

I got this toy for my 6 and 8 year old nephews for Hanukkah (2010). I was a little skeptical when I got it in the mail, because the box was pretty small and light. However, this later proved to be irrelevant. My nephews adore this toy, and they have been playing with it non-stop since I gave it to them a couple of weeks ago. Take note however, that they’ll need to do little handywork in setting the toy up. My nephews were able to read the instructions and prepare the toy themselves (they had to use a mini screwdriver to unlatch the casing to install the batteries), but that took only a matter of minutes. The box comes with two sets each of a receiver/gun combo that the kids wear. The toys light up and make a lot of “laser” noises when a shot is fired or when a shot is registered. They seem quite durable. In summary, I would highly recommend this as a gift for young children (girls and boys).
